Orders & Payments
How do I place an order?
Browse the shop, add what you like to your basket, and head to checkout. It only takes a couple of minutes. You'll receive a confirmation email as soon as your order is placed.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit and debit cards, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All payments are processed securely through Shopify, and your details are always safe with us.
Do I need an account to order?
Not at all. You can check out as a guest without creating an account. If you'd like to save your details for next time, you're welcome to sign up, but it's completely optional.
Can I change or cancel my order after placing it?
We process orders quickly, so please contact us as soon as possible at admin@meowtail.shop if you need to make a change. We'll do our best to help, but we can't always guarantee changes once an order has been confirmed.
Is it safe to pay on your website?
Yes, completely. All transactions are handled by Shopify's secure payment system with SSL encryption. We never see or store your card details.
Delivery & Shipping
How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery within the UK usually takes 3–5 working days. You'll receive a tracking link by email as soon as your order has been dispatched.
How much does shipping cost?
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your order. We aim to keep delivery as affordable as possible, and we're always looking at ways to reward our regular shoppers.
Do you ship outside the UK?
We currently ship within the UK only. We'd love to expand to more countries in the future. Watch this space!
How do I track my order?
Once your order is on its way, you'll receive a tracking link by email. You can use it anytime to see exactly where your parcel is.
My order hasn't arrived. What should I do?
Please check your tracking link first, as it will show the latest update. If things still don't look right, email us at admin@meowtail.shop and we'll look into it straight away.
Products
Where are your products from?
All our products are sourced from Korea and Japan. These are authentic brands you'd find on shelves back home. We only carry things we genuinely love and trust.
Are your products authentic?
Yes, always. We work with trusted suppliers and wholesalers to make sure everything we sell is 100% genuine. No imitations, ever.
Do you stock products for vegetarians or vegans?
Some of our products are vegetarian or vegan-friendly. We try to include dietary information on each product page. If you're unsure about a specific item, feel free to ask us before ordering.
What if a product I want is out of stock?
We restock popular items regularly. If something you love is temporarily unavailable, keep an eye on the site or follow us on social media and we'll post when things are back in.
Returns & Issues
Can I return a product?
We accept returns on unopened items in their original condition within 14 days of delivery. Unfortunately, we're unable to accept returns on food products that have already been opened. Please get in touch with us before sending anything back.
My order arrived damaged. What do I do?
We're really sorry about that. Please take a photo of the damaged item and email us at admin@meowtail.shop within 48 hours of receiving your order. We'll arrange a replacement or refund as quickly as we can.
I received the wrong item. What should I do?
That's on us, and we'll fix it right away. Email us at admin@meowtail.shop with your order number and a photo of what arrived. We'll get the right item to you as soon as possible.
How long do refunds take?
Once a refund is approved on our end, it usually takes 5–10 working days to appear in your account. This depends on your bank or payment provider, but we'll always process it on our side straight away.
About Meowtail
Who runs Meowtail Shop?
Meowtail is a small, family-run shop based in the UK. We started it because we love Asian food, especially Japanese and Korean, and wanted to make it easier for people here to enjoy the same brands and flavours we grew up with.
Why Japanese and Korean food?
It's what we know and love. These are the flavours that feel like home: noodles, sauces, snacks, and everything in between. We simply wanted to share that with more people in the UK.
Do you have a physical shop?
We're online only for now. Every order is packed and shipped from our stock, so Milkshake and Chocolate are usually nearby supervising. 🐾
Who are Milkshake and Chocolate?
Our two cats. Milkshake is grey and white, calm and easy-going. Chocolate is darker and loves attention. They take their role as unofficial shop mascots very seriously.
How can I get in touch?
